We had another celebration for family and my friends who had babies in 2008 on Sunday. When you're one, why not have two parties. We were worried about the weather because it was raining that morning but come party time the skies cleared and we were able to sit outside on the lawn. I couldn't have done it with out the superb help of family who pitched in cleaning and setting up. It was definitely a case of "it takes a village".
Lucia's second round of cake involved frosting and at first she wasn't sure what to make of it. After a while she discovered that frosting was fun and enjoyed both eating and painting herself in it. We're now ready for what the next year brings.
