Girlfriends

I remember clearly my first true friend and the day I met her. I still tease her today about the bob haircut and cute dress her mom put her in on the first day of kindergarten. Through ups and downs the friendships I made in childhood have meant the world to me and I've wished for Lucia that she has strong friendships through life. Although only 4 years old, these three girls (Breanna, Lucia and Lilly) have been playing for over two years together and love each other. Sometimes like sisters when they fight, sometimes like best friends when they giggle and laugh, and sometimes they comfort each other when they are having a bad day. They're learning their way together and although it is likely they won't go to the same kindergarten in just over a year I am hoping they will look back on these fun preschool years and keep in touch. As her parent, I feel lucky to have met and formed my own friendships with their parents and look forward to our girls growing up.
