Our girl is spirited, no one who has ever met her will deny that. She is a powerhouse ready to conquer the world. Busy, busy, bee. She is determined, independent, stubborn, thoughtful, caring, observant and happy. I love our girl. Some of these same qualities are the ones that give me pause on occasion but I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Why? Because I love her for all these reasons and more. She thinks to pick out a present for her brother when she gets one herself. She shares her food with us even when its dessert. She sings all day long and sometimes to herself when she wakes up at night. She is funny, knows she's funny and tells people she's funny, which, is funny. She can play a wicked game of imaginary tennis and make the best cup of imaginary coffee while in the bath that I've ever had.
And she rocked potty training this weekend. We woke up Friday morning and she decided that was the day and we didn't turn back. A couple of accidents but it all worked out and by the end of the weekend we had no accidents and she happily helped me cook in her Elmo panties and apron. Super cute.
Sweet girl, I couldn't ask for anything more from you (OK, well, putting on your shoes and coat when we ask, and then again, not playing with your food or playing too rough with your brother.. :). Thank you for a fabulous and fun weekend.
When I put you to bed tonight you said to me "I loved having a whole day with you mama." I loved that too. Sigh.

I love your "ode to Lucia". You're a lucky mom, and she's a lucky little girl. And way to go on the potty training Lucia!
