Three Weeks

I can't believe that three weeks of Reed's life have already gone by. It has gone quicker this time as we chase around a busy toddler. We steal as many seconds of Reed's awake time as we can but admit that with two, we put him down in a bassinet more than we did with Lucia. I think we held Lucia almost every moment of the day and with Reed, we're at about 80%. Not bad all things considered but my mother's guilt sets in that I'm not spending as much time or appreciating this precious baby time as much as I should.

What we have learned about Reed in the past three weeks is that he is a sleeper and a lap baby. With someone to hold him he could sleep all day. At night he sleeps in four hour stretches which he has since he was born and for which I am very grateful. He's still curled up in a ball most times and he has the sweetest little baby snore. He grunts when he's hungry and only cries when in the car or after an hour of grunting we haven't given him something to eat. All an all, a very easy baby. We love you Reed.
