First weekend away

Jon and I spent our first weekend away (really a day and an overnight) from Lucia. Auntie Sarah, Uncle Brien and Aiden and Ava took care of her while we enjoyed celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary. I love that my family lives so close that we can see them often and the cousins can grow up together. I also love that Lucia knows them well enough that instantly she wants to be held and loved by them.

They had a fabulous weekend without us and they introduced her to chocolate (brownies, choc-chip pancakes, choc-chip zucchini muffins) and she loved the new food. She also played with play dough for the first time
(saying no, no, no at first when she held it in her hands) and watched Aiden play soccer cheering him on and trying to run on the field. Thank you so much Neudecks for taking good care of her.

Jon and I had a fabulous time as well spending time wandering through Hood River and staying at Skamania lodge although we have to say we missed Lucia a lot and kept saying, "Lucia would love this place...we should take her here some time". We hiked near waterfalls, took a bike ride, went swimming, ate and ate and enjoyed sleeping in.

Here are some pictures of the weekend:
