For well over a month now Lucia has been reaching for our food, completely entertained by the eating process and today, a few days short of her 6 month birthday, we decided it was time. We put her in her high chair, mixed a very liquid rice cereal and attempted to feed her. I say attempted because for all who have met Lucia, they know she is very independent and even at this young age, she wanted to feed herself. This resulted in more cereal on her and the high chair than in her mouth but it was a 'solid' first try :) More adventures in eating to come. Here are highlights from the event.

Yay, Lucia! What a big girl! Just think, a few more months and you can eat Auntie Sarah's cookies! :) Uncle Brien will show you the ropes!
