Six months old

Lucia spent her half birthday in Missoula on Christmas Eve. We arrived here this morning at 12.15 a.m. after a long flying experience but the joy of it all was that Lucia was a champion traveler despite the snowy drive, flight delays and late night. Our future international travel baby hopes are alive.

We spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Neudeck who loved on her and we went to Christmas Eve mass in the Catholic church where Grandma and Grandpa were married.

Now that Lucia is six months old she can roll in every direction towards an object she wants and especially ones we don't want her to have. She's almost able to pull herself up to sitting from lying down and she scoots. She's not quite at full crawl but she can scoot a few feet to reach a toy we've put out of reach. She smiles even more now and has become more verbal. She has always been an active but quiet child but she's finding her voice and we delight in hearing it. Solids are an everyday thing for her and she's getting better at it. We'll branch out from rice cereal soon but we're easing into it.

Happy Birthday Lucia.
