New car

After much talk, research, lost sleep and talk with lenders we purchased our first new car as a family. It was exciting and nerve-wracking! We now have a Subaru Forester and it is the first non-Toyota car either of us have purchased. Besides the fact that my car was 11 years old and couldn't fit our stroller in it, we needed something safer with all wheel drive to get our family to Portland to visit Brien, Sarah, Aiden and Ava and to drive over the passes to Grandpa and Grandma Neudeck. Now that we have precious cargo (that's you Lucia) it is safety first! 

Of course in our typical fashion we purchased it under a winter storm warning and it took us almost two hours in high winds and rain to get to the dealership and we drove it back in the dark in bumper to bumper traffic. Lucia marked the occasion by having her first public blowout at the dealership and by far the largest. There I was in the public bathroom up to my elbows (and this is true because my coat was covered) in poo. I'll spare you the details but lets just say the her outfit got thrown away when we arrived home because I don't think with all the Shout in the world it would come out.
