Three week birthday

Our girl is 3 weeks old today and can I just say how fast the time is going. Three weeks feels like three days and she's getting so big already. My heart has swelled to twice the size and I want to soak up every second of this precious baby time. I know we'll create many memories as she grows older and I look forward to all the fun stages she has, but for now, with her sweet baby smell and the way she falls asleep on our chest.....I want to bottle it up and save it forever.

As proof of her growing up big and strong, we went to the doctor today to have her weight checked. For some reason I started to worry that she wasn't eating enough (because as a mom, I have to worry about something). Silly me, silly mama! She's now 10 pounds 3 ounces and 22 inches in length. In two weeks she's gained 1 pound 4 ounces and grown an inch and according to the doctor is doing fabulous.

She went to work with me today and met my friends and coworkers which was fun. For months I waddled around work and now I could show off the reason for that huge baby bump and provide a reason for the extra cookie I would eat :) We then went to hang out at Gramma James (also known as Yoma) and see Auntie Karen and her cousins Madeleine and Owen. The wanted to hold her and kiss on her and were so dear and loving with her. We're so grateful for such wonderful family to love on her. Both Jon and I are so lucky we have our families and that the next generation is born into it.
