Past due

Yesterday was the due date and thank you for all those calls and emails. We're doing great, baby is happy and healthy in there so there is no hurry. I'm doing well, still working and puttering around the house and there are plenty of things to keep me busy until SBJ arrives. I've decided to post the FAQs and my answers for those that haven't reached me yet:

Q: You're still working?
A: Yes, no reason not too as I'm feeling fine and I want to save time for after the baby arrives

Q: You must be ready to have that baby out?!
A: Not really, we're excited but I never had that feeling of 'I can't take it one more day'. All good things in due time.

Q: Are they going to induce you? Or when will then induce you?
A: Don't know. Doctor says she'd like the baby to come no later than 7 to 14 days past due date but she'd cross the bridge when we get to it. Hopefully SBJ comes on its own.

Q: Am I having an epidural?
A: Don't know. Decided I didn't want to make that decision in advance. Since I've never given birth we'll see how it goes. Our birth plan is to give birth. Seems like a great plan to us.

Q: Do you know if you're having a boy or girl?
A: Nope

Q: Do you have a feeling that you're having a boy or girl?
A: For me, it changes by the day. For Jon, he's never felt one way or the other. Its 'baby', he's happy and that's enough.

Q: Are you ready?
A: Ready as we're going to be. The car seat is in, the bag is in the car, the nursery is done and we have no idea what being parents will be like but we're excited for the adventure.
