Almost halfway there

19 weeks an 2 days. I so enjoy watching the days tick by. As many of you know, I love numbers. My job involves working with numbers and when I'm home I'm calculating the days until this or the days since that. SBJ is no different and I'm enjoying watching the baby grow one day at a time.

I went to my doctor today, a long list of questions in hand. It has been five weeks since my last visit and I was anxious to hear the heartbeat. The nurse checked first on my right and just like last time I held my breath because no heart beat was detected - and then I remembered....SBJ sits on my left. Jon says its because he's a left wing in hockey but either way, once the doppler moved to that side....thump thump. There it was. A strong 144 today beating loud for me to hear. Hello SBJ - I'm so looking forward to meeting you in less than 5 months. Next week is 'the' ultrasound where we can find out the gender of our baby. We've decided not to find out and wait to be surprised at the birth but I'm still looking forward to getting another glimpse to see what the baby looks like. I'll post the picture next week for you all to see.
