The kids school is closed for a couple of days before the new school year so I took the day off to play. We decided to go to the zoo and since Lucia had been there with her class this summer she knew exactly what exhibits she wanted to see. Her first stop was the bird exhibit where you can buy sticks with seeds on them to feed the birds. Both kids sounded excited and watched me as I fed them but neither wanted to hold the stick themselves. Our ever cautious boy had a meltdown when a bird flew too close so we wandered off to see the animals and play at the zoomasium. I wonder what adventures the afternoon will bring.
