11 months today!

Sweet boy you are 11 months old now. Only one more month being 0 and then on to the big one. This past month you have become even more of an explorer. With your ability to crawl with speed, stand and scoot around furniture and free stand you now love to open doors, dig into boxes, go for the door if it is open for a second and gently pick everything up possible and put it in your mouth.

You are still such a happy, happy boy and you've learned to give strong hugs which make my day, every day. That being said you are a pretty determined kid and if you are focused on something and we prevent that from happening you are showing us your displeasure and it makes me a little worried about the terrible two's!

You allow your sister to knock you over with her hugs and pull you every which way but are starting to become independent about what you would like to play with and where you would like to go. Once you have your voice you can articulate that to Lucia but for now you just let out a squeal and we reminder her to let you go.

You are eating more but still not a huge eater or drinker which for your size, is surprising to me. Kids eat when they eat though so we are introducing and just seeing were it goes.

So sleep - kid, where did my good sleeper go?! For various reasons we haven't enforced the sleeping through the night (reflux, sickness, teeth) but you've developed some pretty bad habits which I'm hoping you grow out of soon because we love you very much but we are tired. You however are super happy when you wake up even if you barely slept the night before.

We love you baby shark! Looking forward to the adventures coming ahead.

Love those cheeks of yours, Reed! You are absolutely one handsome guy! What a big boy! You're growing up before our eyes! We can't wait to see you for your birthday next month! Hugs and Kisses from Portland!

I know Charlie is following Reed's lead so does this mean our good sleeper is going to still be getting up at 11 months?! :)

I'm so happy that we've been able to be a part of Reed's first year. He is a handsome, strong, smart little fella.
