Reed at 4 months old

You are four months old today my sweet baby boy . While I don't spend as much time updating the blog with stories about you, I spend that time instead holding you and thinking how lucky we are to have you in our lives.

You are the sweetest little man and almost always so happy. You give us these looks when we're holding you that I wish I could capture but you should know that it melts our heart. You give those same looks to Lucia even when she's being more rough that she should. You delight in watching her and I can only hope that continues when you are grown up enough to choose because I can assure you, she's already mapped out your entire life (where you'll sit, sleep, eat, what you'll do during the day, etc, etc).

You're starting to try and roll from your back to your tummy now that you've mastered the tummy to back. You are VERY strong and very big. Lucia likes to say "Reed is a big boy" and she's right. You are wearing 9-12 month old clothes and when we go for our doctor visit tomorrow I imagine they will tell us you are close to 25 pounds. You've outgrown your infant car seat and your Baby Bjorn. I sometimes wonder if you'll slow down or if you will be taller than Mama by 5 years of age.

You are very alert and spend a good portion of the day awake now which is fun to see. You're so agreeable whether I take you on errands or just stay here at home. My go with the flow boy. Your sleep at night could use some improvement. You have slept a couple of nights 10 hours straight but usually like to sleep for 5-6 hours then up to eat and back down for another 4. Not bad but considering you're the size of most one year olds I'm sure that our doctor will tell us tomorrow that sleep training is in order :)

You've adjusted to daycare well and although you still won't take a bottle at home, you now take them at school which makes me happy. They tell us stories of how you go visit the residents and smile and make their days, just like ours.

I love you sweet boy. My chunka monka. We love you.
