Lucia's first haircut

Lucia had her first haircut last Saturday and she sat in the chair, smiled and let her hair be cut. I was so impressed!

We decided to cut her hair, reluctantly, because it is always in her face. She has beautiful curly hair but in the morning it can be a serious mop and we have to put it back in a clip daily. I don't mind this but starting in a few weeks Jon will have primary responsibility for drop-off and pick up of both kids. I'm so lucky he can and wants to do this for our family. This will take a bit of juggling so having one less thing to do will be good for us and for her. And besides, its always fun to change up a hairstyle.

After getting her hair cut we went out for ice cream at her request. Congrats Lucia, this will be the first of many trips to the salon over your lifetime.
