We have officially reached soup and grilled cheese time of year in the Great Northwest and Lucia is loving it. We're still working with her on using a spoon, although she usually just sticks her hand straight in whatever we're eating (yogurt, oatmeal, etc.). She has the fork down (with every successful attempt met with a cry from mom and dad of "good forking!"). Anyway, as you can see, we have now moved on from using utensils to the fine art of learning how to dunk one's grilled cheese sandwich into soup. Next will be coffee and donuts. Hello, Top Pot!

She'd be right at home in most cultures where it's okay to eat with your fingers!
Does Lucia know that grilled cheese sandwiches are my all time favorite food...just had one yesterday minus the soup. She's growing up so fast!
