Happy Constitution Day to all the Norwegians out there!
Jon and I have spent the last couple of years going to watch the Syttende Mai parade in Ballard. The day always brings plenty of sunshine and the parade route is filled with happy faces. Last year I was eight months pregnant (huge!) and it was very hot but we wouldn't miss it. This year, we put on our sunscreen and took Lucia to her first parade and she LOVED it. Between the marching bands, unicycles, dancers and flying flags she clapped and waved and smiled away. Here are a few pictures from the afternoon.
P.S. For all those addicted to 'The Deadliest Catch' it is also were you can see Sig and Edgar Hansen as they usually walk with their families in the parade (this year they carried flags).
