We had a lovely Mother's Day today. Lucia and Jon treated me to coffee at the C&P and a trip to Bainbridge Island for the afternoon. Our own little adventure and it was wonderful. Just like how being a mother feels to me.
Top 10 reasons I love Lucia and love being a mom to her:
1. Having a healthy baby girl as a part of our lives
2. Seeing a piece of her Dada when she gives me her crooked little smile
3. The pure joy that being outdoors brings her and it in turn brings me. She can't get enough of all there is to see and touch and it delights me
4. Very messy meals resulting in a very messy cleanup (not in the Top 10 for daddy)
5. How delicious her cheek tastes when I kiss it
6. The squeal that she gives when I first get her in the morning from her crib
7. The rare nap that she has on my shoulder
8. A sweet laugh that you have to work for to get but when you do it's pure heaven
9. Seeing a piece of me in her which means a little bit of my parents in her as well
10. The happiness she brings us every day.
