11 month birthday

In just one month you'll no longer be zero (as our friends children call her) and moving on to the big 1 year old. You've developed a new nickname in the last month. You'll always be mama's baby bird but I now occasionally call you Little Miss May. May is short for mayhem which you love to be a part of, often leading the chaos.

You can now understand so many words, pointing to show your understanding. You are signing more frequently and now sign the words for milk, please, more, all done, eat, and book. You blow kisses at us and give big strong hugs and cheek kisses when we need a little extra love from you and you are busy, busy busy! You started taking steps this month and while you prefer to crawl you can now stand up from sitting on your own and walk a few steps (your record is eight steps before sitting down). You love to read and you still love to eat. You've tried so many new foods but the main thing we've noticed is you want what we have on our plate. It can be spicy or sweet or crunchy or sour...you just want to explore all the tastes in the world.

I love you sweet girl....I hope you have a very happy month before your first birthday.
