Houdini

I've been thinking of stories to tell you about our life with Lucia. One of our many nicknames for the girl is Houdini. We call her this because when she goes down to sleep we wrap her in either a swaddle sack or wrap her "burrito style" in a blanket and I don't know how she does it but she can wiggle her way out of it and get her hand up to her face. Its really quite impressive and if it was an Olympic sport she would definitely have a gold medal. I've had a tutorial from Tim, the master of the wrap and I can assure you that I do it so tight that I think it will cut off circulation but almost every time she can get out of it. Why not just let her have the hand up you ask? Because as soon as she does she wakes herself up. So, every night we do the same routine and when I go to get her in the middle of the night or the morning, there she is looking up at me with a big smile, so proud to be out of her swaddle. That's our Houdini.
