I couldn't be happier to be sitting here at our dining room table writing to all of you knowing Lucia has come home and baby makes three! We had a rough go of it for a while and I want to thank you all for your messages of love and support. We couldn't have made it without that all.
I could write about the scary moments after her birth when she left my arms and ended up in NICU but I think the most important part about that story is that she had the best care possible and after almost 5 days in the hospital we were able to put Lucia in the car and make the drive home. Her lungs have re-inflated....you go girlfriend!, infection gone, fluid from her lungs gone and like a true Neudeck-James baby she actually gained weight over her stay not lost it. We like to eat and she's the next generation :)
We're going to be lying low for the next few days while we all recover and get used to our new family. I know that every new mom says their baby is the most beautiful, well ours is! We delight in her sweet chubby cheeks, her long hands and feet like her daddy and the way she melts into us when we pick her up. We're bad photographers so these photos won't do her justice but here's a few more of her.
They were taken today and the one in her car seat is with Holly, my nurse at Northwest Hospital who made my first labor and birth experience better than I could have ever imagined. She took care of me while they took care of Lucia and I'll be forever grateful.
